Our Mission
Resilience is a global business imperative. AT&T’s approach is helping to ensure a resilient future.
Resilience is a global business imperative. AT&T’s approach is helping to ensure a resilient future.
AT&T is enhancing extreme weather resilience in our own network operations and in our communities.
We integrate advanced data into decision-making processes to protect our infrastructure, and we make that data available to communities to assist in their hazard mitigation and resilience planning.
We continue to seek new ways to integrate data into our planning systems to inform infrastructure decisions for the future.
AT&T collaborates with the U.S. Department of Energy’s Argonne National Laboratory to produce and leverage best-in-class data.
This data helps us understand how extreme weather impacts could affect our network and operations up to 30 years in the future, and down to the neighborhood level.
Combined with near-term forecasts and historical trends, these projections help us anticipate, prepare for and prepare for extreme weather.
This data is integrated into systems and processes that guide infrastructure buildouts in both the wireless and the wireline parts of AT&T’s business.
AT&T has teamed up and Argonne National Laboratory and other collaborators to develop the ClimRR portal.
AT&T’s Resilient Communities Initiative provides additional support to state and local governments.
To date, the initiative has provided expert guidance to communities in Colorado, Idaho, Kentucky and New York, identifying local extreme weather vulnerabilities and recommending solutions to address escalating hazards. To drive further impact, we're also developing materials that offer instruction to communities on how to use ClimRR to inform their local hazard mitigation planning, enabling even more communities to pursue this kind of work.
