For every 10 lbs of e-waste collected, it equals one laptop donated to a local family in need.

By recycling e-waste at our event, we're giving back to families in our community and giving old tech a new purpose!

How it Works

Your old electronics could have a second life and help transform lives. Through our reuse and recycling programs, we help keep devices out of landfills—and we invite our customers to join us.

If you have any eligible e-waste at home, it’s time for some spring cleaning – and some spring planting!

What e-waste is eligible for donation?

Can’t make it to the event? Don’t worry, you can always drop off your mobile phones, tablets and accessories at AT&T stores with the recycling program.

FAQs

All devices undergo data destruction following NIST 800-88 PURGE standards to ensure donor privacy. If data cannot be sanitized, all data-bearing devices are sent to our certified Responsible Recycling (R2) collaborator for physical destruction. Programmable devices are cleaned, refurbished, and updated with a Linux-based operating system (Ubuntu) or Windows 10, based on the needs of the community.

AT&T seeks to keep more electronic materials out of landfill through reuse programs. We believe electronic devices should be reused, refurbished or recycled, and we encourage our customers to participate in our e-waste reduction efforts. For information about recycling AT&T devices, visit here.
